So, where do I start?
I thought it best to take a little break from you guys.
I thought it was the right thing to do, both for all of you, and for me too. :)
I guess I'm a little slow because I haven't been reading everyday, and I just went back and read the whole thing that happened with Spaced.

Wow! 'Drama' happened, and I wasn't involved! :D

anyway, I'm happy to see a lot of the same old faces around here, but also nice to see the new ones too. (except for the Spaced guy!)

The Coast-to-Coast non-grok is right up my alley, and I very much hope to join you guys Friday night for a little bit. Even if I don't post and you don't hear from me, know I'm not far away. :)

See, told you I was agnostic. My apologies to those practitioners. I'm aware that Lent is yet to occur for 2007 and is the traditional 40 day period between Ash Wednesday and Easter (for those who will rush to a calendar and start counting, for this period Sundays are not counted towards the 40 days). I thank my grandfather the Episcopal Minister for this little bit of knowledge.

So if your grandfather's an Episcopal priest (like mine), did you grow up stuffing yourself at a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras for those who don't know)?

Missed out on that little tradition. My grandfather (who passed away in 1983) was what you might call an East Coast liberal priest (went to Harvard Divinity College). Never really was really strict on the more traditional aspect of the whole church thing, preferred to just let us make our own choices about what we wanted to do. Very cool man who I still miss to this day.

Sounds like our grandfathers (mine retired in '89, and fortunately is still around) would have liked each other. Mine still has hate letters from the KKK in Virginia, since he welcomed everyone to his church.

Hey there too...three of the favorite disks of the old timers are on their way. Thank you for your kind offer, and will be in touch, but just wanted to say it is nice to see you here...

Good to hear from you, Dancinbears!
I missed all the Spaced thing, too (by choice, of course). Was beginning to wonder if your new job was too time consuming. Trust all is well and you're enjoying the work. I'm sure it can't compare to teaching, but not as much responsibility and better compensation hopefully.
We had a grok - listen in last weekend. 82-04-19, I believe - the Raven space show. Was a great listen as I've not heard it before. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen soon - very good show, indeedy.
